Wansbeck Centre for Voluntary Service

Wansbeck Centre for Voluntary Service is a local development agency based close to the centre of Ashington which specialises in providing information, support and advice to voluntary and community groups throughout the Wansbeck area.

As our mission statement suggests, we are dedicated to 'Supporting Communities, Enabling People' and we have been doing so since 1987.

At the present time, over 200 organisations are registered with us. Membership of the CVS is free to all Wansbeck based voluntary organisations, community and resident groups. Organisations in Castle Morpeth are welcome to become members of the Volunteer Centre.

Wansbeck Centre for Voluntary Service provides a range of services, namely a  Project Development Service, a Funding Advice Service, a Volunteer Centre and a Community Engagement Project. 

Additionally, we are sub-contracted by a4e to deliver the New Deal Programme to 18 to 24 year olds and 25+ throughout the local area.
