Community Network
The Community Sector Network has a membership of over 100 voluntary & community sector organisations and through the network team provide:
- Advice and support to members on community participation and regeneration issues
- Practical help with development plans and capacity building
- Themed based presentations and knowledge sharing sessions
- Skills and learning opportunities
Through bringing together a range of organisations from large 'professional' voluntary agencies to the smallest community or residents group, the Network gives its members the opportunity to meet with other individuals from similar voluntary and community groups to share experiences and solve common problems.
We are also responsible for getting information about out to all sections of the community and for providing ways in which people most affected by service delivery can get realistically involved in discussing and planning how services should be improved or changed in their area.
If you want to play an active role in the development of the voluntary sector, or if you wish to meet other people form similar organisations to share experiences, the Community Sector Network is for you.
Membership of the Network is free of charge and is open to all voluntary and community groups in South East Northumberland.
The Community Engagement Project is funded by the Working Neighbourhoods Fund.
