How has the Economic Crisis Affected your Organisation & the Local VCS?

There is no doubt that the current economic climate is affecting our member organisations.  We are often told by members how difficult it is becoming in accessing adequate funding to deliver their services or how they are having to lose staff due to funding cuts.

The impact of the recession and public sector cuts on voluntary sector organisations in the North East has been starkly outlined in VONNE’s “Surviving not Thriving” report, and the subsequent “Surviving or Thriving” report that tracked the impact of spending cuts on the North East’s Third Sector.

As your local support and development organisation, Wansbeck CVS is often asked to comment on cuts at a local level; we have therefore created a survey that will enable us to ascertain the impact the current economic climate is having on your organisation and the local sector as a whole:  www.surveymonkey.com/s/wcvs_sector_survey

Information from completed surveys enables us to make representation and campaign on behalf of our members to local councillors and decision makers, as well as informing funders of where best to set their priorities for funding in future years.

The survey will enable us to ascertain the impact the current economic climate is having on your organisation.  We would be grateful if you would take five minutes to complete the questionnaire using the following link:  www.surveymonkey.com/s/wcvs_sector_survey  We would appreciate your response by the 10th February 2012.

We have kept the information we require to a minimum so we do not take up too much of your time.  Results of the survey will be published in our newsletter.

Please help us to get the message of the state of the local voluntary and community sector to those who make decisions.

We look forward to receiving your completed questionnaire.
