Re: Action Project to Develop into Blyth
Re: Action continues to promote independence and choice for older and disabled people. The project already covers Ashington, Bedlington, Newbiggin and Guidepost on a Tuesday and Thursday and will be developing in to the Blyth area on a Friday in the New Year.
The aim of the scheme is to help enable the elderly and people with disabilities access shops and services by carrying out a normal activity with the support of volunteers.
Clients who already access the service have commented on how much it means to them to get out of the house and do a normal activity like choosing food, birthday cards and clothing, without having to rely on family and friends.
If you would like to get involved with the project, either by becoming a volunteer, or you know of someone who could benefit and would like to find out more, please contact Karen Cox on 01670 858688.
