Wansbeck CVS & Community Accountancy North East have organised a Managing Your Finances For Beginners course for those looking after the financial records for charities and voluntary & community organisations.
Looking after the financial records for your group can be simple and take a little time if you can keep to certain basic rules! You want to provide services activities and do the things your group was set up to do without having to spend hours sweating over the figures and worrying about the accuracy. The course will provide:
Each participant will have the opportunity to talk to one of Community Accounting North East's accountants on a one to one basis to discuss individual issues.
The course will be run over 3 consecutive Monday's: 26th January, 2nd February and 9th February 2009, from 9.30 to 3.30pm, at Wansbeck CVS. A commitment to attend 3 days is necessary. The cost of the course is £25 which will include course materials, refreshments and a buffet lunch on all of the three days. Bursaries may be available. Places are strictly limited and will be served on a first come, first served basis with all bookings accompanied by a relevant cheque.

Sustainable funding involves thinking about the long-term financial future of your voluntary or community group.
