Call for Applications: Policy and Representation Partnership Policy Work

Each year the Policy & Representation Partnership chooses six policy topics which are affecting the sector to be examined through research, gathering the sector's views and producing a policy paper which is shared with statutory policy-makers.

Over the past few weeks the Partnership asked the sector to rank the priorities which we should be focusing on in our third and final year. Thank you to everyone who responded! The information gathered from this survey has been used to identify the policy themes for the Partnership, from July 2011. The Partnership are now in a position to invite proposals that will be related to the development of public policies or practices in the North East. It is expected that proposals will clearly demonstrate the difference that the proposed work will have on that particular policy area.

Policy themes for year 3:

  • Localism and Community Development
  • Aspects of Welfare Reform
  • Financial Inclusion/Exclusion
  • Impact of NHS Reforms
  • VCS Infrastructure Support Needs
  • Homelessness
  • Power and Campaigning

The project year runs from 1st July 2011 until 30th June 2012 and they welcome project proposals to deliver within this timescale (Each project must be completed by 30th June 2012 and within this there is flexibility for project delivery and timescales). Project proposals can be for any amount up to a total of £11,750.

Closing date for expressions of interest is: Friday 13th May at 12 noon. Full details can be found in the Call for EOI Document (PDF 107Kb).
