How to Have Your Voice Heard in Northumberland

If you had a problem, wanted to start a campaign or had a really good idea on how something could be done better in your area would you know how to contact the people who make decisions on a county level who could help you make the changes you would like to see?

If you are interested in finding out how to have your voice heard or how you can represent your group more effectively then come along to:
The Corn Exchange, Morpeth Town Hall
Market Square, Morpeth, NE61 1LZ
on Thursday 28 July, 6pm – 8pm
and find out:

  • What types of committee meetings are held by Northumberland County Council and when you can attend them.
  • What other meetings can you attend where you can speak directly to council members and other decision makers.
  • Where and when the reports and information held by the council are available to the public.
  • What information held by the council can you ask for, and how to request it.
  • Other ways to raise issues such as speaking to county councillors, writing to the council and raising a petition to present to the council.

County councilors and officers from the County Council will be at this event to give you information and answer questions. There will also be the opportunity to take part in interactive voting on lots of topical issues. If you are interested in attending or would like further information, please telephone Mike Bird on 01670 533491 or email demserv.ar[AT]northumberland.gov.uk
