Northern Rock Foundation's Programmes for 2010

The Trustees of the Northern Rock Foundation have recently agreed to a changed focus in their grant giving in response to changing regional circumstances, including the impact of the recession. In addition to their current programmes, there will be increased investment in homelessness projects and a new focus on developing initiatives specifically for those who are financially excluded to address growing need.

Two events will be held in January to launch the new grant programmes and provide an update on the Foundation's current programmes:

  • 27 January, 10.30 - Trinity Centre, Middlesbrough
  • 29 January, 10.30 am - Centre for Life, Newcastle upon Tyne

At these events you will hear more about the work of the Foundation in 2010 and have an opportunity to meet staff and discuss potential applications.

If you would like to attend one of these events please contact Gemma Appleby: generaloffice[AT]nr-foundation.org.uk or call on 0191 284 8412 by Friday 22 January 2010. Limited spaces are available so please book early to avoid disappointment.

The Foundation was guaranteed a minimum of £15m per year from Northern Rock, for the three year period up to and including 2010, and has said that the recent split of the bank into two separate companies does not affect its current grant programmes.
