Recruit Into Coaching

Recruit into Coaching (RiC) is a national initiative with the purpose of producing 10,000 new sports coaches in England particularly in deprived areas. Further information is available via Sport England's website. In Northumberland, the programme is aimed at increasing the number of coaches in the Wansbeck area and contributing to the development of the workforce within Northumberland.

Funding is available for people who live in the Wansbeck area and have no other National Governing Body Level 1 qualifications to complete a UKCC Level 1 qualification. We hope that people who access Recruit into Coaching can then be deployed within the area and therefore strengthening coaching capacity in your clubs. This is an opportunity to increase the number of coaches in your club.
