  • Anne Lyall
    Chief Executive Officer

    Anne is responsible for the strategic management, development and delivery of services which reflects the aims and objectives of WCVS, as well as the successful achievement of contractual requirements. Anne is committed to ensuring that WCVS remains a strong and successful organisation to support the needs of our member organisations. Anne represents WCVS on various boards at local, sub regional and regional level.

  • Gillian Allsopp
    Personal Assistant
    Administration Team

    Gillian is personal assistant to the Chair, the CEO and Business and Finance Manager. She is responsible for line management of the admin team, finance assistant and IT Support Worker. Gillian is responsible for diary and information management of the CEO and Finance Manager and provides support services to the Board Executive to allow key members of the organisation to focus on strategic management and direction.

  • Mandy Doyle
    Finance Assistant
    Administration Team

    Mandy forms part of the finance/administration team and administers the day to day financial transactions of the organisation. Mandy also prepares payroll as well as recording and monitoring staff annual leave and sickness records.

  • Amanda Grant
    Receptionist / Administration Assistant
    Administration Team

    Amanda is first point of contact for all visitors to the organisation. She is responsible for general administrative duties as well as booking, organising and preparing the conference/training rooms for all external and internal meetings.

  • Gillian Robson
    Administrative Assistant
    Administration Team

    Gillian (Gill) provides administrative support for all the projects and departments within the organisation. She is also responsible for developing and maintaining the organisational database.

  • Marie Sembukuttige
    Business and Finance Manager
    Administration Team

    Marie forms part of the management team and is responsible for the financial management of the organisation as well as providing information and monitoring to funders. Marie currently oversees the management of the admin and finance functions.

  • Ross Timson
    ICT Officer
    Administration Team

    Ross is responsible for the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of all our ICT needs. He can also offer advice and support to member organisations.

Department / Project: Community Development Team

  • Carolyn Fothergill
    Project Development Officer, Group Support and Development
    Community Development Team

    Carolyn offers advice, support and encouragement to new and existing community groups including organising courses which help them achieve their objectives and ensures groups have the correct policies and procedures in place. Carolyn works closely with Stephen, alongside groups to ensure they devise a good strong funding strategy and support them to complete monitoring and evaluation returns.

  • Stephen Humphrey
    Funding Advice Officer Group Support and Development
    Community Development Team

    Stephen’s main role is helping community groups to develop and successfully apply for funding. Alongside this Stephen produces quarterly funding bulletins and organises funding information events. He acts as the main contact for Grassroots grants working closely with Community Action Northumberland and the Community Foundation. Stephen also supports the management team in applying for funding for our own organisation.

  • Anne Kidd
    Programme and Contracts Manager
    Employability Team

    Anne forms part of the management team and manages the day to day delivery of WCVS employability programmes, i.e. New Deal, ESF, Positive Steps into Employment and Skills for Employment. Anne represents the organisation at various employability programme meetings and develops future procurement and tendering opportunities.

  • Lisa Wackett
    Support Worker
    Employability Team

    Lisa works on the New Deal programme and is responsible for supporting clients to gain permanent employment. She ensures CVS are up to date, assists with job search sessions and completing job application forms. 

Department / Project: Volunteering Northumberland

  • Terri Bearhope
    Volunteering Development Officer
    Volunteering Northumberland

    Terri works for Volunteering Northumberland as an outreach worker. Terri covers the North of the county. She supports people who would like to become volunteers by finding them a role that most suits their needs. Terri provides volunteering organisations with information and advice. Terri runs volunteer recruitment fairs, takes part in promotional work, and helps to run volunteer support events. She also provides group and one-to-one training. 

  • Ann Broome
    Volunteering Development Officer
    Volunteering Northumberland

    Ann deals with volunteering enquiries from both individuals and organisations throughout South East Northumberland. She matches both individuals and groups interested in volunteering with appropriate opportunities. Ann supports registered organisations with the recruitment of volunteers, provides advice on good practice and keeps an up to date record of active opportunities. 

  • Karen Cox
    Project Co-ordinator, Re:Action Project
    Volunteering Northumberland

    Karen is project co-ordinator which works over two main areas Independent Living offers an assisted shopping scheme which provides volunteer enablers who support elderly and disabled people to be more independent. The Wansbeck Forum for Older People, encourages independent living and ensures older people make informed choices as well as providing a central voice.

  • Lee Crossley
    Supported Volunteering Project Support Worker
    Volunteering Northumberland

    Lee’s role is to support the Development Officer on the Partners in Supported Volunteering Project. He supports with the recruitment and training of buddies, administration and support for the clients and volunteers on the project.

  • Andrea McLaughlin
    Volunteering Development Officer
    Volunteering Northumberland

    Andrea deals with volunteering enquiries from both individuals and organisations throughout South East Northumberland. She matches individuals and groups interested in volunteering with appropriate opportunities. Andrea is responsible for updating the volunteering database ‘VBase’ and Volunteering Northumberland’s website. Andrea also helps with the promotion and marketing of Volunteering Northumberland.

  • Charles Tremeer
    Volunteering Northumberland Manager
    Volunteering Northumberland

    Charles forms part of the management team and manages Volunteering Northumberland, which comprises of 6 staff that provide volunteering infrastructure services throughout the county. Charles also represents Volunteering Northumberland on local and regional groups and represents the regional Volunteer Centres on Volunteering England’s Volunteer Centre Advisory Group.
